Regulations on Permanent Residence of Foreigners in China

With a Permanent Residency Permit, expatriates can reside and work in China indefinitely. Foreigners with Permanent Residence Permit eligibility in a country are granted with Foreigner’s Permanent Resident Identity Card, commonly known as the "Green Cards".

Under the restriction on the entry of foreigners during the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Green Cards” can greatly facilitate expatriates when entering or exiting the country.
