When did you join Tricor and why?

I joined Tricor at the end of 2019. However, I came to know the company about 10 years ago. There are two main reasons why I join Tricor: 1) I was trained at one of the ‘Big 4’ professional firms when I started my career and I could relate to the history of Tricor and the professionalism that it had inherited from leading firms. 2) I could see how my knowledge and skills would help to harness the opportunities that exist in Tricor, and further expand and grow with the company.

How do you measure success and what does success mean to you?

Success is not a destination but a journey. Success is being aware of my strengths and weaknesses, continuing to learn and pushing my boundaries. Success is when I look back and know that I have grown to be a better person today than yesterday. Success is when someone, be it a colleague, client, friend or family member, shares with me that I have made a difference to their life in a positive way.

Share a book/person that has most influenced your career or life? And why?

“Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'.”
― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

Motivation comes from within. One should be aware and focus on the reason and purpose behind the action that one takes. Very often the why and purpose are something bigger than ourselves and outward looking. It’s the “why” and the “purpose” that pick us up and pulls us through the darkness and leads us to the light at the end of the tunnel. I believe it is important for individual employees and companies to identify their purposes, be clear of what the individual and company stand for, and the difference we are making. Only then are we able grow to be the best version of ourselves and the best company in the industry.
