ISO 37001:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System (“ABMS”) accreditation is a step-up approach which organizations can benchmark and adopt an effective anti-bribery management system. Commercial organizations in Malaysia are encouraged to implement such ABMS as such a system will carve the opportunities on:
- Promoting Trust & Confidence – An organization’s credibility is enhanced with lowered bribery risk. Moreover, organizations with proper ABMS in place promotes trust and are more likely to sign agreements with other organizations, as compared to those without one in place.
- Adding Strategic Advantage – ISO 37001:2016 ABMS certification will be required in fulfilling the pre-requisite for bidding of government projects, as indicated in item 6.2.4 of National Anti-Corruption Plan.
