Commentary on the Barbados Budget Proposals 2024

In what she referred to as her “conversation with Barbadians”, the Prime Minister of Barbados, the Honorable Mia Amor Mottley S.C. M.P., on Monday, March 18, 2024 delivered her government’s Budget Proposals and Financial Statement for the fiscal year 2024 – 2025.

With no new taxes introduced, the Prime Minister attempted to focus the nation’s attention on measures that she described as “people centred”. And though “unappealing”, were necessary to secure the future prosperity of the country.
