Multi-media Designer

Job Description

Our client is working in the public sector focus on cultural and museum development. They are now looking for new candidates that could support their team’s further operations.

Responsibilities

The Design Support Servicer is required to provide design support service at the Design Unit of the Hong Kong Space Museum in the following areas

•          3D animation scene creation : Dynamic motion graphics production for planetarium shows and exhibit multi - media contents
•          3D production : Model making and 3D Dome Master scene setting for multi - media displays and planetarium shows contents development
•          To follow - up production schedule independently and laise with conractors with regard to quotations , project specifications , quality control and delivery .
•          Clerical support and stocktaking service support of the Design Unit ; and
•          Perform ad hoc duties and assignments as required .

Requirements

•          A Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma from a Hong Kong Polytechnic University / Polytechnic Institute of Vocational Education / Technical College / Technical Institute , or equivalent , for which at least specialized in one of the following subjects : CGI ( Computer - generated imagery ) / Digital Visualization Design , 3D Animation Design , Multi - Media / Motion Graphics Digital Entertainment Design , Film Production and Visual Effect Design , Visual Communication Design , Advertising Design , Product Design , Environmental / Exhibition Design
•           At least 3 years working experience in professional design setting or planetarium show production is preferred , including 2 consecutive years full - time work in related field during the past 5 years prior to the quotation closing date
•          Experience in museum and exhibition design is an advantage
•          Proficient in the latest version of 3D software such as Maya , 3D Studio MAX , V - Ray plugin . After Effects , Unity , Sketch Up , Amateras and have good rendering / visual simulation skills , produce 3 - dimensional drawings including floorplan , elevation and detailed drawings ; Knowledge of publishing techiques and understanding of print and production process
•          Proficient in the latest version of other design applications such as Adobe Collustrator , Photoshop and InDesign . Strong in creating Astronomical Phenomenon visual elements
