Question: if you import flour from Italy and olive oil from Greece, and produce (knead, bake and package) pizza dough in Thailand and export them to Japan; what does this mean in light of the recent RCEP trade agreement?

Regional comprehensive economic partnership is the largest free trade block covering over 2.3bn people and over USD 26 trillion GDP. This is larger than the population and GDP of both the USMCA and EU trade deals.

This trade deal is unprecedented because it creates the rules for engagement that enables global trade and supply chain to be applied within the 15 country ecosystem across Asia. Additionally, the 15 nation trade bloc will advance their regulations to facilitate e-commerce/digital, intellectual property and trademarks and increased investments in the services sector.

Tricor Group CEO Lennard Yong shares his insights with CNA938 (Singapore Media)’s Money Mind Presenters Stanley Leong and Chew Wui Lynn on the business opportunities and the steps companies can take to capitalize on what the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) will bring.

Listen to Lennard’s interview on CNA938 above to find out more.
