The benefit in kind (“BIK”) treatment is one of the of the biggest changes made to Income Tax Law (“ITL”) under the Harmonization of Tax Regulations (Harmonisasi Peraturan Perpajakan / “HPP”) which became effective for the fiscal year 2022. The recently enacted Government Regulation Number 55 Year 2022 (“PP 55/2022”) provides more clarity on what the changes mean for companies and employees.
