With mandatory electronic filing of disclosure of interests notification (“DI Notices”) taking effect on 3 July 2017, the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) issued a press release on 5 May 2017, on “Arrangements for electronic fi ling of disclosure of interests notifications”.
For events triggering disclosure requirements under Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance (“SFO”) that occur on or after 3 July 2017, the SFC reminded substantial shareholders, directors and chief executives (“Filers”) of listed corporations (Note) that new prescribed forms (“New DI Forms”) should be used for DI Notices and fi led electronically through the new Disclosure of Interests Online System (“DION System”), subject to a three-month transition period.
