On 18 February 2020, the European Union (“EU”) Finance Ministers announced significant changes
to the EU list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions. The BVI was removed from the “grey list” and
upgraded to the “white list” after being deemed to have fulfilled its obligations to the EU.
The BVI is now recognized by the EU as a jurisdiction which is fully compliant for tax purposes.
